David--
I received the IBM "PC Software Direct" catalogue the other day, and
looked up the PL/I compilers for OS/2. Whew! So I called Indelible
Blue this afternoon to check on _their_ pricing. Unfortunately, the
young lady who answered the phone had never heard of PL/I, so I gave her
the IBM order numbers for the "personal" compiler and the toolkit. She
called back in a little while and said that her source in IBM told her
the only distribution was going to be through IBM "branch offices." I
suppose the 800 number given in the catalogue counts as a branch office!
I'll have to think about it. $500 for essentially an exercise in
learning may be more than the exchequer can stand.
Thanks for your help.
