GV> That way is the only way to get rid of it, aside from opening 4 new

CB> But you'd think (or at least hope) that the program would check to see

CB> personally, I think it's annoying. I know that a lot of programs do

I agree, it is annoying. I get around it by not using the MRU file list
 much.
GV> CB> 2: The screen updating is incredibly SLOW. It does it 2 or even a

CB> No. I've tried several others that do fairly well. They may scroll
CB> slowly (because they try to do a smooth scroll rather than a full line

CB> scrolls well, but prints out jerkily. Even on a clear terminal screen,
CB> with the cursor at the top, if I type AT&V it will print out several

CB> program I've tried behaves that way.
As more people use TMW, this is appearing more often even on Pentium
systems with 2MB accelerated cards. It IS rare on these systems but
occurs jsut the same. We still do not know for sure what is causing
this as it is not easily reproduced. For example, I have TMW installed
on all 7 of my systems (6 are 386 DX/40s with 1 MB ATI ISA acellerator
cards ... nothing else about the systems are common though). I cannot
reproduce a jerky screen display. But others complain and so it IS a
problem. As it stands we do not know what is occuring. We are
considring that on some systems the ANSI translation is not working
 correctly.
GV> CB> 5: I wish that when you tagged files that it also included the

It makes sense that tagging should do this ... is the directory in your
 path?
GV> CB> 6: How the heck do I get rid of the scroll bars in the terminal?
GV> I think you answered your probem :)
CB> Not really. What I described is more of a work around than a
CB> solution. The screen fits fine before connect, and after I reset it
CB> after a connect, so why does simply connecting screw it up?
I cannot recall what is was excatly that was causing your problem ...
but I assume it is a font choice problem ... this WILL be fixed in the
next release. I have literally 40+ font choices ... but others with
similar configs seem to have only 2 or 3. We are looking at purchasing
 a distributable scalable font.
CB> TMW1.00 looks like it has some promise, but I think I may wait for the
CB> 1.02 version at least. To me, there is no difference between 1.00 and
CB> Beta, and I don't really like paying money to be a beta tester. I
CB> think I'm going to wait a bit before using it some more or think about
CB> registering. Of course, by then the price will have gone up and it
CB> won't be as attractive as other window comm programs in that new price
 CB> range.
How did you get a beta? Anyway, I feel that the last beta was better
than the release. MANY of the nagging problems did not exist in the
 last beta.
Hang it there. TMW is a good product ... but as any 1.00 release, it
is far from perfect. BTW, you probably know, but the next release will
"probably" be WIN32 version as well.
