Hi Bob,
Sooo, I dropped off the guitar a few hours before heading back
west, and am finishing up another to take to Seattle next week. Half the
money I get from these sales will go directly into setting up a shop here.
I thought of hitting the bank for a $5K loan, but I think I can do it
fairly soon without borrowing. My salesman in Toronto was *very* impressed
with the instrument and told me to feel free to send him all the flamenco
guitars I can build :^) I also met someone here yesterday who says he can
move lots of flamenco guitars. Hmm, maybe I should be looking at a
production line of sorts :^) Maybe I ought to take plans to Japan and let
them build guitars for me with my label! Hmm, could work you know.
Anyway, Anne's dead in the water and I don't feel much of a loss...
except it is Valantine's Day and I'm off to a bar alone - but it's for a
good cause. I'm meeting Mike Dunn who's been building guitars for 30
something years - maybe we can split shop space for a while :^) I do like
that Japan idea though - I had the thought a few years ago but didn't quite
know how to make it work, but now that I'm finding a fairly good market, it
may well be worth a $10K investment, hmm.
Let me know when you expect to be stopping in Vancouver and I'll meet
you at the airport for a pint at Cheers! Hope you and Penny have a great
time in Hawai. Hey, maybe I'll end up on the same plane as you back to TO
.
TTYL
Cheers,
Augustin~~~===
