The Canon i390 driver works well with my i4000.  Else, I can make no
promises...

From searching groups of drivers listed at turboprint.com, for Linux,
this sounds a likely prospect. Where did you find it? I only see i5x0,
i8x0, and i9x0, where x is 5 or 6.
