The term itself ("SREJ") is one of those international standards
things, appearing throughout HDLC and associated communications standards
(cf., ISO/IEC 4335:1993, Amendments 7:1995 and 9), so I'm not surprised to
hear that it's also in LAP-M (my original definition was a rewording of
something I'd read in a modem FAQL somewhere).
