I hadn't, but just did.  I am able to connect quite quickly to the root 
but if I try to change directories it just sits and sits - bottom says 
collecting objects... (split-view, the others time out still).  I can, 
however, type it into the preffered directory and get right to it (i.e. 
/pub/incoming).
