That one will work.  The one I mentioned is a DOS command line tool which

Well, since you have the audio enabled, are you sure it is not sharing an
IRQ?

rmview /irq will show you if anything else is using the IRQ you assigned.

I'm pretty sure you have and ISA based audio chipset.

Are you using the v2.07 drivers?

Have you tried the BIOS diagnostics, assuming the 600 has them?

Just because the audio used to work, does not mean something might not
have changed.
