Hi All,
Thanks for all the helpful hints and such I received from all of you
over the past couple of weeks. Found the problem this past Sunday
morning and fixed it. The old gunboat runs fine now.
I still had suspicions of the fuel supply so blew out the lines again
and got some "gunk". So that said (to me at least) that the problem was
somewhere in the fuel tank. Pulled it, blew it out, removed the fuel
pickup tube inside - was partially plugged with "sludge/rust/mystery
matter". Cleaned it and the screen and put it all back together.
Runs like a champ now... and should be good for many years to come -
now that we also replaced a lot of other parts as well while looking
for this problem! (it's the simple things that we overlook....)
Again, thanks for help!
Ed
