     Out here, I learned to ride at a stables where the horses were sometimes 
tied FOR HOURS out in the sun, waiting for "dudes" to come rent them.  Summer 
or winter.  Jeez, looking back, I don't know why I didn't yell and scream!  
But, as a kid, I just figured that anyone who had 75 horses must know a lot 
about them.  Yeah, sure.
