NB>> Sounds like a reasonable simplification of your life... :)
BS> Much simpler. At one time, for reasons beyond my ken, we filed
BS> Federal Taxes, Colorado Taxes, and Kansas Taxes. Connie had done this
BS> tax class and was a "Enrolled Agent". Her dad would visit, or we'd go
BS> to Colorado, and they'd spend hours and hours talking about tax law
BS> things, he was a lawyer.
Sounds out of my class.... I just do ours... ;)
BS>> I called the Officer asking why the Impound people hadn't heard from
NB>> Still waiting on that....? or has it been resolved yet... :)
BS> Resolved, got the car back Wednesday.
Good... about time... :)
BS> Later that afternoon/evening
BS> was interesting, I'll ask Michael to forward an email for me.
Got the email... indeed interesting... glad things have simmered down
some now...
NB>> That was a good deal.. :)
BS> Yeah, no kidding! We always tried to figure out ways to make a
BS> partial payback. I still take lunch dates with them so I can pay.
BS> It's gotten to be a joke, sort of, we make a date, and then cancel for
BS> some reason, leave the state and say next year.
Now that you won't be trekking so much, maybe you'll be more likely to
connect with them for a lunch date....?
BS>> *She never would drive the truck, and told everybody I wouldn't let
NB>> Interesting cast on that... (G) Just think how much farther you
NB>> might have been able to go in a day if you'd switched off driving,
NB>> though... ;)
BS> She just wouldn't drive it, and she always smiled at me when she said
BS> it*. She was afraid of the size I think. Trucks can seem large for
BS> someone who's never driven one, and then add on 30 feet of 5th wheel.
I think I might think twice about driving with the 5th wheel attached...
never had the opportunity to haul any trailer... and not really that
sorry about that... ;)
BS> We weren't in any mad dash to get anywhere. Pretty much had the trips
BS> planned and spots for the night reserved in advance, so we knew what
BS> the days travel were going to look like. Leave at 8 or 9, arrive at 1
BS> to 3, drop the 5th wheel, run the slide out, get the
BS> water/sewage/electricity/satellite/cable hooked up, take the truck in
BS> for fuel, declare it to be O-Beer-Thirty, and kick back and listen to
BS> music/read/watch TV until the next days strenous activity.
Sounds like a good rhythm for travel.... when you are bringing your
abode along, it makes a bit of difference how you might deal with
things... ;)
BS> *We used to go to Hawaii for a couple of weeks in the winter.
BS> Invariably she'd trip on something walking (once on one of them
BS> concrete parking gizmos while were were walking in front of two police
BS> officers) and end up with a giant bruise that started about the knee
BS> and ended at the hip. Then we'd go to Hawaii and she'd put on a
BS> bathing suit, and I got glared at by everybody over the age of 8. I
BS> accused her of doing it on purpose. :-) Of course for a change of
BS> pace she could trip over a Black Lab in the dead of the night and break
BS> her nose.
Just a bit clumsy, eh...? You aren't suggesting she did it on purpose,
I trust...
