Well I've tried again just in case I had tried a different one last 
time. 'The device CWAUDIO.SYS specified in line 40 of CONFIG.SYS 
BASEDEV=CWAUDIO.SYS is not loaded blah blah' just as before. I've tried 
moving the three lines added by minstall around CONFIG.SYS, and even 
remming out other BASEDEVs like USB not to avail.

Thanks anyway for trying. Any more ideas or shall I go to Plan B (run 
Windows / get rid of the laptop)?
