Very sketchy and preliminary info:
Medical Marijuana activist, Todd McCormick, was arrested today for growing
5000 marijuana plants at a home rumored to belong to Peter McWilliams. The
Federal limit in So. Cal, where McCormick was arrested is 50. In contrast,
the Federal limit in No. Cal is over 400 plants.)
John Entwistle at the SF CCC said of the raid, "Knowing Todd, he'll get out
of it just fine. If the Feds prosecute, this will give him a chance to
make medical marijuana legal for the country."

Calif. police seize marijuana mansion
LOS ANGELES, July 29 (UPI) _ Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies serving
a search warrant on a multi-million dollar Bel Air mansion discovered a
harvest of more than 5,000 marijuana plants inside and outside the posh
estate.
Sheriff's narcotics investigators raided the mansion tonight after
arresting one of its residents, 27-year-old Todd McCormick, who had been
under police surveillance for about two weeks.
Authorities said seedlings and mature marijuana plants lined the patio,
stairways and filled the backyard of the five-story luxury home. Officials
say the plants are extremely ``high quality'' marijuana that sells for
about $500 an ounce on the streets.
Inside the home, authorities said they found pot growing in most of the
50-plus rooms of the mansion, including the elevator, under artificial
lights. The top floor was apparently being used as a residence by
McCormick.
A sheriff's spokeswoman said McCormick is being held on $1 million bail and
faces charges of cultivation of a large commercial growth of marijuana.
Broadcast reports said five other people living in the mansion were also
being detained.
