  I think you'll find that Dieter's '01 and '04 will be in your
packet if you look at it with a hex editor. It's MsgEd that is
translating the '01 to {at}.

  It is Paul's contention that '01 is an illegal character. MsgEd
translates it to {at}, but that does not make it illegal. I'll do the
same in my version of the packet reader, and translate '00 as well,
plus Tear lines, Origin lines and SEENBY's, but it's a metter of
choice.
