subject: Win95 & Carrier Drop

JR> I've been running Maximus under Windows 95 for a few
JR> weeks, and I'm just hating it! I keep getting Carrier
JR> Drops when my users are not hanging up. I also cannot
 JR> get TW2002 to work. I am currently using a USR 14.4
JR> mode, WinFossil 1.12, FD 2.12, BNU 1.70. The problem
JR> isn't as bad when I select Always keep port open, under
JR> WinFossil, but then I cannot run TW2002. It is my
JR> experience that Windows 95 isn't that stable for
JR> running a BBS. I need help making it stable, so if you
JR> can help me please do.
First thing, why are you running WinFossil -AND- BNU? You should only need
one.
Second, if you are running a single line, you should switch from WinFossil
1.12 to WinFossil 1.11. You can FREQ it from me as WNFOS111.ZIP.
