| subject: | WD-40 alterantive? |
TW>-> (If my ageing memory doesn't fail me again 8-( I seem TW>-> to recall you were not a advocate of the use of WD-40 TW>-> petroleum distillant to over come rotory moter shafts TW>-> whose lubricate had aged and now tended to seize the TW>-> shafts in their support bushings. TW>-> What altenative do you find more successfull please? TW> In the old days I used "Sewing Machine Oil". It is a very light "REAL" TW>lubricant. TW>The problem is that it is difficult to impossable to get rid of the old TW>hardened gunk in the bearing. Particualrly if it is a Sleeve bearing. Thanks Tom. My XYL is a serious quilter so we have plenty of sewing machine oil around. I have some automatic transmission oil that can seek any available avenues. I think I will try some of it on this fan moter sleeve and see how that may work for me.
