BS> As far as I'm concerned it's toast no matter what. I may or maynot
BS> replace it, depending. At least the law enforcement people up here
BS> don't seem to care. I replaced it in Arizona when I was told they
BS> would ticket me if spotted (didn't happen in California, it was in
BS> Arizona, but I was on my way back from San Diego). I've driven I-5
BS> from top to bottom and then bottom to top, driving into a headwind each
BS> direction. If I replace it, it's outta my pocket as the cost is less
BS> than the deductable (and by asking I'd be paying for that affront to
BS> them in higher insurance rates forever if I did).
Glass coverage is part of the comprehensive, not the collision, so it
doesn't affect your rates.... and every policy I've ever had, there was
no deductible for glass coverage, either... you might want to at least
check with your agent about your coverage.... When a deer ran in front
of my car, Feb16, that damage was covered by the comprehensive, too, and
didn't affect my rates... but it did have a deductible...
BS> On another note. I went to the cop shop since I couldn't get anyone
BS> to answer the phone, much less screw up and call me back. Amongst
BS> other things it was being listed under another case number. But I have
BS> a name/phone number attached to that case number and have passed that
BS> along to the adjuster. Hope springs eternal, maybe as soon as tomorrow
BS> since that's when the guy is supposed to be at work.
May the bureaucratic Gordian knot be untangled for you soonest....! :)
