| subject: | Borland TP7 DPMI routines |
Hello Doug! DG> I am having a problem with a program written in the above DG> language running under OS/2, and am looking to see if anyone DG> has any knowledge of a known problem with the DPMI routines DG> in it. I am getting sys3175 errors when running a program DG> compiled to use this info, along with 025 error with the DG> loader. Did you try setting the DPMI_DOS_API to Enabled, instead of to Auto. This is a common problem under OS/2. (Borland doesn't support OS/2, OS/2 doesn't support Borland... :-( DG> They have sent me a short routine that merely allocates a DG> block of memory, then deallocates it, and I still get the DG> above errors. DG> Is anyone aware of any possible cause for this using the DG> above compiler and DPMI routines that might involve a small DG> change that will fix this? No there are no small changes possible for this, Borland just uses some other ID-numbers for their exes, has a slightly different explanation of the DPMI-standard, etc. this all together makes Borland incompatible with OS/2-DPMI and earlier versions of Quarterdeck-DPMI.... Nothing to do about it. DG> Any help would be appreciated in tracking this down! I hope that this is really the problem, since I haven't had any at my system!
