If it is the fuser you should be able to get a rebuild one fairly
cheaply at or less than what is quoted above. However, it can also be
two other parts which aren't as cheap. The DC Controller PCA and the
portion of the AC power supply that controls the fuser lamp also go once
in a while and those parts are not in as highly available quantities.
Not sure why we're talking about HP's in a Windows conference. While
we are on the subject of HP I hope all the folks who've gotten new HP
printers have joined the driver of the month club. These guys can't
write simple printer drivers to save their bu**. :) I wish they'ed leave
the monitor stuff out and just supply a driver for the lower end
printers.
