Liberty basic is interpretive only. No compiling capabilities
currently (only at v 0.6 beta). The registered version does comes with a
run-time engine, however, and has the ability to generate OS/2 PM apps
and Windows apps usually with little or no code modification. Just
depends on which run-time engine you use (or so they say).
It has most of the traditional basic commands but lacks some which I
need for number crunching and such. MOD and CASE SELECT come to mind.
If you ever want to take a look at Liberty basic it's on OS/2 Shareware
as LB06.zip (or something like that). :-)

Unfortunately, I have never programmed using "Visual" anything. Liberty
BASIC is my first exposure to programming PM apps and I do not think
that it qualifies as a "Visual..." dev tool.
Pardon my ignorance but why is a .DLL needed and what are the built-in
spread sheets, charts, etc. used for?
