You don't address the reply to >NUL, you address it to just NUL.
Incidentally, if you call SWITCHAR to change the switch character to
something other than /, you can access NUL via /dev/nul. So you can make a
one-size fits all tagline if you include the binary for the relevant int
21h call before it ;-)
