subject: Music Side?

WT> On what side of a CD is the music -actually- on? I've heard Label
 WT> Side & Unlabeled/Silver Side.

They are actually both correct, depending on which way you
look at it :)
WT> Could it be "tracking" on one side and "music" on the other?

No! The two are one and the same.
The music is actually on the rear of the label, but, as the laser
can't see through the label, it is actually read from the silver
side.
So looking at the silver side, you are looking through a clear
disc at the music on the label side! This is why a quite badly
scratched disk (on the clear side) can play fine in a good CD
player, but a few scratches on the label side can render a disc
useless.
Regards,
Chris.
