No, I'm not using LBA for that 4th drive (otherwise boot manager doesn't
recognize it).

I got there in the end. It was to do with the kernel not having SB
support. I am quite surprised that SB support is in the kernel instead of
as a separate device driver???!!! BFN. Paul.
