The best way to make OS/2 more stable is to take out all the code
contortions needed to run DOS/Windows and make OS/2 a protected mode
only OS.

Step 1: Remove any DOS/Windows references from CONFIG.SYS.
Step 2: Delete C:\OS2\MDOS directory and any subdirectories.
Step 3: Insert PROTECTONLY=YES into CONFIG.SYS

Not only is OS/2 more stable and faster, but it takes up significantly
less hard drive space this way also.

Step 4: Replace DOS/Windows apps which will no longer run with OS/2
apps.
