CT> *** Quoting Jackie Burns from a message to Jim Buntjer ***
JB> just how good this storyline actually ends up being... Have to
JB> wonder if the woman who plays Seven-of-Nine might be slightly
JB> anorexic. You can see her bones through that silver suit she wears
JB> now...
JB> You are the first person that I have seen mention that you can see
JB> bones. Everyone else I have talked with see other parts of her. I
CT> I don't think those are ribs you're seeing in her jumpsuit but
CT> ribbing or something similar to a girdle to cinch everything in.
CT> There was mention somewhere that Jeri Ryan would practically faint
CT> from the tightness of her costume.
CT> However, I do have to admit that her exterior upper thoracic
CT> protruberances are inordinately large. :)
Those last two lines before yours were said by Jim Buntjer, not me.
JB> think they need to move away from the sexual appeal aspect that they
JB> are doing with her. Write interesting stories and I think they will
JB> get more people over a longer period of time watching the episode.
JB> Bimborg or Barbie of Borg just doesn't interest me.
CT> Well, Seven got a new crimson knit jumpsuit in "The Raven" and I think
CT> she has attracted more male viewers this season. I think her
CT> character is being developed very nicely in this episode and the
CT> storylines will move away from overt sexiness, though tension should
CT> remain.
Again, those lines are Jim Buntjer...
JB> Maybe I just took more notice of it because I am aware
JB> of how overly thin my own body is and I find that the sight of my
JB> own bones is offensive to me, so seeing them on someone else who
JB> should be taking care of themselves is just as grotesque. At least
CT> Well, you could bulk up with more protein but isn't thin in?
Finally! Something I actually said... I have tried all manner
of ways to "bulk up" and none of them have worked. And I really
couldn't give two hoots what's in because I don't do vogue and never
have and never will... But this is a topic more suited for a
different echo, not this one, love...
But perhaps you should resend this message to the one whom I
believe it was geared towards in the first place, and that would be
Jim Buntjer, because you were quoting mostly what he said...
CT> Anyway, it looks like the next two episodes are going to be reruns
CT> now. cya!
Oh well, I haven't had an opportunity lately to see any of them
because of other things more important, so I guess this is a moot point
with me...
