It depends how old. I checked the code regarding kludges. The current code
which is virtually untouched since Folkerts last release (1.60), only
finds/checks-for kludges that start with a ^A as the first character on a
line.

So if you can reproduce it with a version 1.60 or later, it would be interesting...
