subject: [OS2HW] Good ol` ThinkPad 600?

Hi folks,

after more than a year of letting dust accumulate on it, I decided to
have a go on a second-hand ThinkPad I bought just to be sure I'd have
OS2 running reliably on a cheap laptop (I let myself being ripped off
$300 though)... not to avail of course ;-(

To be precise, the machine is a TP600E, and the label with the codebar
on the bottom side reads 'Type 2645410' (according to IBM that is what
you need to fully identify the model).

I read on IBM's ThinkPad site that it was fully supported but I just
can't get sound (if I get it running we'll try that PCCard ethernet).
Veit Kannegieser's PCI.exe does not report any PCI sound device so I
couldn't identify the chipset properly - so I suspect it is one of the
latest ISA sound cards they made.

I've tried IBM's driver in the old DDPak, and several other Crystal
drivers but no luck: I get an 'Device nor found' or the like init
error every time. Sound works under Windows though.
Does anyone know if this model is actually workable (or unsupported
for sure) under OS2? If so, which driver should I use?

Thanks in advance,
Alfredo Fern=E1ndez.
