CA> I have just setup a 2 station network using NT 4.0
CA> server and NT 4.0 Wk station. The WS 4.0 is dual
CA> booting win95 and NT WS 4.0. Win 95 has all the apps I
CA> run in win 95.
CA> NT WKS 4.0 :
CA> To run the MS word (I have MS Office 97) from NTWS I
CA> click start, run, browse and locate winword.exe and
CA> then execute. (Now it is in RUN history). When it
CA> starts to execute, I get: "The Tahoma font is not
CA> present. For best results please exit Word and run the
CA> setup program to install."
CA> I click and get: "The windows Registry has
CA> reported that one or more required files are damaged
CA> or missing. To correct this problem run the Word setup
CA> program." I click and Word 97 loads and is ready
CA> for me to start editing.
CA> What is happenning. Am I safe ignoring that error ?
CA> NT Win 95: When I run the same program it finds the
CA> Tahoma font and everything is fine.
Sounds (to me) like there are some installation differences
depending on what OS is detected during install. My guess
is that you'll have to install it under NT to eliminate all
the errors. I just installed O97 under NT and all is well.
