I wouldn't know about non-Gui crap or OS/2 .... I run NT - there is a 
MAX and a Bink for NT - they run sweet with all kinds of other apps running 
in the foreground - and although I had a very sophisticated DOS/DV system 
once, I'll never go back.   I also have Linux on another partition - its 
sweet too, I actually prefer the X-windows to MS-Win - but ... I've got a ton 
of Win apps I need for work - so ...
