Yes and no. It is his name (in "Old Solar", a.k.a. "Hlab-Eribol-ef-Cordi") 
for the planet Venus. _Perelandra_ is also the title of the book, which 
is second in the trilogy. For completeness, the third is _That Hideous 
Strength_.
