Sean was heard babbling to All
about The Second Amendment and the Supreme Court
SR> If a city wishes to, they can even outlaw firearms within their city
SR> limits. It has been done, and is Constitutional!
Just because the supremes either fail to rule or rule something to be
constitutional, does not necessarily make it so.
There is as much scholarly thought, if not more, that is of the opinion
that the second amendment is in fact an individual right.
Just outta curiosity, if the founders wrote the nine other (of the
first 12, with 10 ratified) amendments to be individual, why do you
suppose they would have written the second not to apply to individuals?
I suspect if you go to digging into what the founders wrote, in their
own words, as to what the amendments meant to 'em at the time you'll
actually discover that the school of thought that doesn't acknowlege
the second as an individual right is lying.
SR> I'm surprised I did not hear this BEFORE my Senior year in college :)
I'm not. You're a product of the public school system, aren't you?
