GF>CD>I have a Medtronics 7070 pacemaker implanted. How often should I
xpect
to
GF>CD>have it tested? I would also like to hear from anyone else wearing
one.
GF>I don't have a pacemaker - yet. :) But I am a nurse on a cardiac
GF>unit, and we have many, many pacemaker patients.
GF>You should have been given a booklet at the time of the procedure,
GF>detailing the type of pacer you have and the kind of testing schedule
GF>recommended. There are so many types of units pacing the heart in
GF>different ways, it's hard to give a universal schedule. You should call
GF>the doctor who implanted the pacer. His nurse can likely look up the
GF>information for you.
Monthly seems too often. Besides, it's gettin' expensive. Around $98, and
Blue
only reimburses $28. Still waiting to hear from anyone with the Medtronic
7070.
Could you ask one of your patients with that kind?
Thanks,
--Clayton
