    Missouri towns you might be thinking of:

    Lincoln or Licking seem closest to Lanton, but there is no town by
    that name in Missouri.  There's a Lantana in Florida at R-17, a
    Lakin, Kansas (I-4) and Lanham, Maryland is at F-11.  I'll ignore
    Lanark, Illinois at C-8, and jump to Lincoln, Nebraska, which is
    the capitol of that state and is easy to find in the east part
    of the state.  Lincoln, Nevada, has about 169,000 people fewer,
    and is at K-10 (plus it's a county, not a city).  New Joisey has
    Linden at I-12.
    Now we get to the GOOD STUFF.  North Dakota has Linton at I-9 AND
    Lisbon at H-14.  Lawton, Oklahoma is at J-14 (I used to be good
    friends with a young woman who worked at a radio station there).
