Here's a snippit of what I have:
----------------
o_renum -2 -N 0 50 -M 4500 -R 1 <- Local mail
o_renum -2 -N 0 50 -M 4500 -R 2
o_renum -2 -N 1 49 -M 4500 -R 3 <- Echomail
o_renum -2 -N 1 49 -M 4500 -R 4
o_renum -2 -N 1 49 -M 4500 -R 5
o_renum -2 -N 0 50 -M 4500 -R 6
o_renum -2 -N 1 49 -M 4500 -R 7
o_renum -2 -N 1 49 -M 4500 -R 8
o_renum -2 -N 1 74 -M 4500 -R 9
o_renum -2 -N 1 99 -M 4500 -R 10
o_renum -2 -N 1 99 -M 4500 -R 11
o_renum -2 -N 1 124 -M 4500 -R 12
----------------
I renumber by number of messages. For local messages, keep zero of the
first messages and xx last messages, max messages in any area to renumber =
4500. For echomail, keep first 1 messages (high water mark) and last xx
messages, max messages in area = 4500. Been working here this way for
years.
Hope that helps.
