AA> RB> There are two API's (Application Program Interfaces) in OS/2 for AA> RB> graphics, for PM graphics, there is GpiXxxxx and for full screen AA> RB> graphics there is VioXxxxx. Generally you use these to do graphics. AA> Yeah I know about those, but can I still do the low- AA>level stuff? Is the video memory the same? If not, what's AA>different? You can still do low-level stuff using Vio, but you have to do some extra stuff before you can access the video RAM directly. This is documented in the .INF's on Vio, these are available fairly widely. There are also some hoops to get access to the video card's registers. This last thing generally isn't recommended. The Gpi doesn't give you direct access to video RAM, you have to use Gpi functions for drawing circles, lines, bitmaps etc. There are books and books on this.
