Hi Murray,

I also received such a catalogue and did not see the "Personal
Edition" listed - although I didn't look very closely. I saw
"Professional Edition" listed at $750+tax. I also remember reading
somewhere that this price is subject to a 40% discount through 30th
September, as should any price on "Personal Edition".

I suggest you think about it for a month or two. It can take IBM's
bureaucracy that long and more to set a policy like distributing
software through 3rd party channels. I will check with the PL/I
development manager at IBM Santa Teresa labs. and see how things are
going regarding additional retail channels for PL/I. You should never
have to pay list price these days for any software.
