| subject: | NAMED PIPE - NEED HELP |
JS>Howdy, All! JS>I am desparately in need of some REXX code that monitors the data coming in JS>on JS>a named-pipe and dispatches procedures/functions when certain textual JS>strings are seen. The REXX tutorial provides nothing about named pipes and JS>I can't seem to find any info anywhere on how to access these. Sample .CMD JS>files would be most appreciated. Post 'em here or route 'em netmail to the JS>address below. Mucho thanks! JS>Hangin' in, Hangin' out, and Hangin' on... Try opening the pipe just like a file. Use the name of the pipe in place of the file name. I haven't tried this from REXX, but under C you can use the normal open commands to open a pipe, you just don't get a lot of control over finer details ___ * MR/2 1.52 NR * Power corrupts. Absolute power is kind of neat. --- WILDMAIL!/WC v4.00h* Origin: Freezing Point BBS - WDNet HQ - Mpls MN: (1:282/85.0) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 54/54 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 SEEN-BY: 711/430 807 808 809 934 942 712/353 623 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 282/85 1 270/101 396/1 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 54/54 711/808 809 @PATH: 711/934 |
