I have been trying to resist the IBM PL/I compiler, but you may have just tipped the scale against me. I have not seen the demo but I am sorely tempted by the Personal Edition. The only micro PL/I that I have tried was the CP/M version by Digital Research. I think I paid something like $795 for it. I have an unattributed PL/I compiler for the PC which was apparently a beta test and was never marketed. No manual for it, of course, but I did recompile some of the CP/M programs successfully with it. My main reluctance is that I only write programs as a hobby and I like to share them with people who do not use OS/2. Still I think I will get it. --- Maximus/2 2.01wb* Origin: OS/2 Shareware BBS, Fairfax, VA: 703-385-4325 (1:109/347) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 54/54 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 SEEN-BY: 711/430 807 808 809 934 942 712/353 623 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 109/347 2 7 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 54/54 711/808 809 934 |
