I am using a D-Link DP-300U print server. It has two parallel and one USB
ports, although I'm only using one of the parallel ports. It is
configured through an http interface with your web browser of choice.
Instructions are fairly clear. I don't know whether they're still
available.
In OS/2 or eCS you need to install the SLPR printer port. Then use that
port with the printer objects. It's very easy. I don't use Suse, but
both Mandriva 2007 and Xandros 3.02 found it without trouble. Win 98
requires a bit of work, as it does not come with a TCP/IP port. There is
a driver available. Unfortunately, I'm having a hardware problem that
precludes my finding the driver or discovering where I got it right now.
Once you install the driver, it will work as well as you can expect
Windows to work.
