Ok, I have the data for the modem lockup now.  I've also decided
to disable adaptive answer for a while.  Matthew, can you send
me the logs (assuming it is you).  Silly me, the modem was locked
up last night and I could see from the logs that it was dialling
out, and I thought that was why the modem was off hook so often.
