All the work that I've done in the last couple of years is with Electronic Gas
Measurement and gas pipeline controllers.  For the kind of stuff that we
do, OS/2 would be ideal.  (Unfortunately, I work on the side that is the
other end of the radio.  The host guys are all stuck on QNX.)  In my
opinion, the central computer rarely, if ever, needs to be able to satisfy
the requirements of a "hard" real-time system.
