PE> The system was engaged for 12 hours, thanks to a Viper problem...
PE> 11. Viper locked up after receiving a call, the lights:
PE> OH, DSR, DTR, RI and PWR were on. The call went like this:
PE> # 10 Jun 02:04:59.69 RING
PE> > 10 Jun 02:04:59.82 ATA
PE> # 10 Jun 02:05:17.47 CARRIER 26400
PE> > 10 Jun 02:09:36.82 dropping DTR
PE> > 10 Jun 02:21:46.63 dropping DTR
PE> Normally I get a "PROTOCOL xyz" after the "CARRIER
26400".
PE> The prior connect was a 14400 connect, which worked fine.
PE> Anyone know if it was them that was calling then? BFN. Paul.
Blame me. Banksia MyFastModem v34. Firmware rev. v1.430-V34_DS
My last nights poll to my other host barfed as well. I *think* he is using
a viper too. Incoming calls still work fine though, I'll have to wait till
next poll to find out if it was him or me that barfed.
Mind you, it's not just the vipers I have trouble with, I had trouble
receiving a call from the SAME TYPE OF MODEM. Sheez, you'd think they would
at least make them work with each other...
Anyone want to use it as a paperweight? Doorstop? Suppository maybe?
Painful yes, but it's got to be more use than as a modem.
