Since my mailer comes with a utility that purges the message bases, there
is a data line in the mailer's editor cfg where you can place a path and a
filename if you want to archive any or all bases and the utility takes the
appropriate action.  You can also set passthru areas in the editor cfg.

I do archive the areas I'm interested in or if I see a message in one I
don't archive, I save that message to disk.
