Just a guess, but I imagine they would be similar to coffee beans due to 
their oil content, which means they would not be suitable due to resin build 
up.  You might explore that by roasting the husks in an iron pot to see if a 
residue is deposited, and doing the same with the meat (or both together - 
that is a little our of my areas of expertise ).
