MM> Try Delphi 2 Unleashed.
I have not seen Delphi 2 Unleashed, but I have used the original Delphi
Unleashed. I learned a lot of good stuff from it, but I ended up with the
impression that while the author had a lot of support from the Delphi
development team, he may not at that time have reached full understanding of
some of the areas he was writing about.
You might want to take a look at "Delphi 2 Developers Guide", by Pacheco and
Teixeira, published by Sams Publishing/Borland Press. ISBN 0-672-30914-9.
1996. It is an expensive book ($60 US), but there are 1320 pages, only 2 of
which are wasted on describing the IDE. There is also a CD-ROM containing
source code from the book, plus some component demo versions. The book was
a 1996 "reader's choice" winner from "Delphi Informant".
Quote from the introduction - "This book is aimed at three groups of people:
* Delphi developers who are looking to take their craft to the next level.
* Experienced Pascal, BASIC, or C/C++ programmers who are looking to hit the
  ground running with Delphi.
* Programmers who are looking to get the most out of Delphi by leverageing
the Win32 API and using some of Delphi's less obvious features."
In other words, it's not intended for beginners.
