I would agree totally!  I have never experienced such incredible braking
preformance as I have witnessed with V-Brakes.  I opted for the top-of-
the-line XTR for an extra $40 (Canadian).  I love the look of the XTR's
but there is no noticeable differance--basically, not worth the extra 
clams.  Anyone even considering the purchase of V-brakes--DO IT!!  Other
than clipless pedals (shimano 747) they are the best improvement a person
can make to their bike.
