| subject: | [OS2HW] Too many cords on outlet |
Bob Ackley wrote in a message to Roger Nelson: BA> Haven't checked in a couple of years. Probably. There are boxes BA> of them around here, all but one of them are 486s and I'm keeping BA> that one. Most are Thinkpad 75x, 360 or 350 (I think). Well, if you come across one when you have nothing better to do than look for it, please let me know. In my current cramped quarters, a laptop is the way to go if I want to experiment with another OS. I can't take this box offline because I have to be up 24/7 for my links. I'm thinking about (and have been threatening to do for a long time) putting Warp 4 up with Fixpak 15. Of course, I'll need a bunch of drivers for the system to work properly, but I should be able to find them at Hobbes. I heard that Danni came out with some updated drivers for Warp. BA> The batteries are probably bad in all of them, though - and those BA> NIMH batteries are expen$ive (I don't recommend eBay for such BA> things because there's no guarantee), as are the wall-warts if BA> you can find one. You can run a laptop without batteries, can't you? I mean just using its power suppy?
