I have had limited exposure to C/C++. Most of my experience is in
FORTRAN and the various forms of (non-visual) BASIC: GW-, Z-, Quick-,
etc. The reason being is that I have had to do a lot of number
crunching and formulas and numerical techniques were very easy to setup.
Since I now use OS/2, I feel like I should learn to write OS/2
programs:-) This should be a pleasurable experience as long as I
remember that little bit of tagline wisdom, "It's only a hobby, it's
only a hobby, it's only..."

A few of my friends who know C++ fairly well never learned C. I have
heard it said that long time C programmers sometime find it hard to
learn C++. I'll probably just jump into C++ from the start. The fellow
who's giving his copy of Borland's C++ for OS/2 has been a CS/Math
instructor for the past 28 years. He said that he would help me out if
needed:-)

Goodbye,
             Larry Snider
