subject: Railroad Frequencies

Hi Dan,
DW> If anyone would like specific railroad frequencies for their area,

DW> A request for "Chicago, IL" or "Pittsburgh, PA" would yield a rather

Wouldn't a search of frequencies between 160.215/161.565 yield the
desired info? I live near the Union Pacific RR tracks in a northwest
suburb of Chicago. I'm interested in commuter (Metra) as well as
general UP trains, but the search has come up dead so far. I'm
beginning to think RR listening is very slow to dead around here. There
are freqs listed in Police Call, but I've never heard anything on them.
Have you got access to others that are more active? CNW recently sold
out to UP. Would that have any bearing on what freqs are active?
Thanks, Leah
