Yep - it was good to have the exchange!

Hi Andrew,
Have never had any IRC client - probably the lousy PSTN line prior to
ISDN with almost continuous loss of carrier didn't encourage me to
investigate it in the past.
Although I have a [40 y.o.] daughter who uses Instant Messaging etc.,
all the time, that was my very first experience of chatting last night,
and I must say that where one is an isolated OS/2 user, [I don't know
any other users to the North of me closer than about 80 miles away and
to the South, about 400 miles and to the West and East, forever,
ignoring New Zealand] it makes one feel like a part of a bigger
community. Prior to the Speakout, I failed to read up anything about
IRC, so will have to learn about the specific netiquette soon.
