Correct.  It will NOT be repaired by Panasonic Australia.  Not even once
the warranty has expired.  In fact, I still see quite a few -EN models
which are less than 12 months old, and their owners get rather annoyed when
they find out that unless they're prepared to ship it back to its country
of origin, the repairs are going to cost them money.

During the period I was an accredited service agent, Panasonic themselves
took out full-page advertisements in all capital city newspapers, at a
total cost of almost $2m, and specifically warned impending tourists not to
expect service on any of their products which were purchased overseas,
unless they were the model specific to the country of their intended use
(i.e. their -A models).

You can easily call them and verify this yourself anyway.
